بناء مسجد باصونة كان خياراً بديلاً عن ترميم مسجد "أبو ستيت"
فكرة تدور حول علاقة الخالق بالمخلوق 99 وأيضًا ، أعمدة المسجد
صُممت بهذا المسجد قاعة متعددة الاستخدامات لاستيعاب الأنشطة خلال أيام الجمعة ورمضان. كما أنه مُصمم لخدمة عدة أغراض على مدار السنة ، مثل العيادات الطبية ، ودروس التعليم بعد المدرسة ومحو الأمية. هناك 4 مداخل للمبنى ، يمكن الوصول إلى اثنين بواسطة المصلين ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة. السقف يضم قباب تسمح للنسيم ولضوء الشمس بإضاءته وتهويته طبيعيًا

The building of Basuna Mosque was an alternative solution to rebuild "Abu Stait Mosque, 300 years" which distroyed due to the floods.
The design is intended to look into the connection between the created and the Creator, as shown in the 99 names of Allah in the Mihrab by the alabaster stone. and counterclockwise columns as "al tawaf" movement.
There is a multi-use hall in this mosque which is designed to accommodate activities during Fridays and Ramadan. It is also designed to serve an array of purposes all year round, such as temporary medical clinics, after-school and literacy tuition classes. Also, there are 4 entrances to the building, two of which could have made accessible for worshipers with special needs. The ceiling dome provides the natural light and ventilation.
