The objective of this paper is to provide the description of modern communal mosque in Muslim
and non-Muslim countries. Com pa ra tive st udy will h el p t o understand the modern mosques
development and fulfil the desire of the Muslim community to produce a sustainable environment.
Qualitative research, text interpretation, and observation are used to introduce new
recommendations for future communal mosque design.
