This research entitled (The artistic values and heritage concepts of Islamic Architecture in the first Islamic era, Kufa and its mosque as a model) includes four chapters ,the first chapter deals with the methodological framework of research which is specialized in the problem of research through which the researcher seeks to identify the following question : what are the values and concepts of establishing cities and mosques during the first Islamic era? the first chapter also, includes, the importance of research which is summarized by knowing the motives of building cities and mosques and their functions, and to identify some patterns regarding the design of cities and mosques, the limits of the research with the definition of terms related to research title.
